Intersections | Emilio Rojas
Intersections by Emilio Rojas / “Intersections” is a film directed by Emilio Rojas featuring members of the community. It explores issues of racism and homophobia through a surreal narrative, featuring interviews with the community actors, navigating the physical space of the museum as much as the psychological space of the actors minds and actions. The film interconnects both the civil rights movement and current queer issues through the writing and speeches of Bayard Rustin. Through this and the creative re-use of Elsewhere’s architecture the project attempts to collectively generate a space for reflecting on these vital issues.
