Meet long-time collaborator and current Creative Catalyst Fellow, April Parker, and bring a few books and take a new one home! Elsewhere Museum and April Parker will be hosting a book drive/swap in partnership with B.A.B.Y, Books and Black Youth: Uncaged Youth Reading Project.

Please consider donating any new or gently use books, particularly book written by and/or featuring people of color as well as young adult texts. Help give our youth the resources they need to achieve!

The Books and Black Youth ( B.A.B.Y.) organization is launching an initiative to get revolutionary and inspirational literature in the hands of those who are often our most forgotten and vulnerable. Our incarcerated youth. Greensboro is home to a youth detention center that houses youth who have been convicted in our criminal justice system and removed from our communities. The Uncaged Youth reading project provides our community with an opportunity to support and encourage these young lives through literature.

Please join us from 6:00pm to 8:30pm outside of the museum store front at 606 S. Elm St. on October 2nd, as we support this initiative. Bring a few books and take a new one home!
