Wallpaper Lady was the first installation in Elsewhere’s front window. It was premised on a third floor room of peeling wallpaper, which reminded Jane of the story of The Yellow Wallpaper. The installation captured the attention of the few people out and about in downtown Greensboro.

Jane created the first front window installation at Elsewhere called The Wallpaper Lady. She also created a “Janie Jones” installation in March of 2006. She writes about her time at Elsewhere on her blog in 2006 and 2004.
