The Living Library Opening

Explore a new world of possibilities. The Living Library opened May 4th adding a public studio for storytelling, book arts, screen printing, experimental publishing, and live internet broadcast to Elsewhere. Because the library of the future is a place for cooking up stories as well as consuming them.

The Hollow Earth Society hosted an evening of performance, games, and playshops in the new Living Library. Visitors contributed sentences to the Longest Story Ever in the broadcast studio, generated stories with the Narratron 9000, screen printed the shirts off their backs at our new printworks, and discovered hidden secrets among the library’s 3000 titles.  At 9pm guests on the sidewalk for a Mobile Film Festival with students from Greensboro College.
