Remodel / Storefront
June 1, 2011
Collaborators: Ian Montgomery, Rob Hamilton, Helen McCarthy, Chloe Keenan
Ian and the building team remove and reframe the storefront for Elsewhere's new accordion style windows, and strip and restore the stage for front window theatre performances.
The News and Record: Friday, July 1, 2011 highlights the work Ian Montgomery and Helen McCarthy (not pictured) did Elsewhere Collaborative’s new bi-folding window that allows them to open their stage to the sidewalk side of the building on Friday, July 1. They are shown getting ready for that night's grand opening with visiting international artist Laurencio Carlos Ruiz and his experimental puppetry. The front facade has been under renovation for about three weeks.

He joined Elsewhere in 2009 to oversee the preservation and safety of Elsewhere’s building and collection, and works directly with artists on installation and sculpture to ensure structural integrity and visitor safety.
