The natural history museum moves from one side of the building to the other to return to its original home and give visitors an introduction to the museum's origins as they enter.

Production Curator
Robert Peterson is a sound, installation, and mixed-media artist from Louisiana. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Georgia. He has lived and worked in Haiti, Jamaica and the United States as a teacher, curator and artist. He participated in the First Ghetto Biennale in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, works with an art and cultural center called Jakmel Ekspresyons in Jakmel, Haiti and helped run a residency program called ROKTOWA in Kingston, Jamaica. His current research is centered in the relationship between sound, environment and human beings.
Ian Montgomery (Gravelville, Iowa) is an artist and builder with professional construction, carpentry, and installation experience. He joined Elsewhere in 2009 to oversee the preservation and safety of Elsewhere’s building and collection, and works directly with artists on installation and sculpture to ensure structural integrity and visitor safety. Ian previously worked in a similar capacity for Flux Factory in New York and has a BA from Bard College.

Project: Glass Forest
Stephanie Sherman (Co-founder / Board Director / Program Committee Co-Chair) is a designer, director, and collaborative conspirator based in London, UK. She founded Elsewhere with George in 2003 and co-directed it with him for 10+ years. She since founded Common Field, Radioee.net, and Supervisions, a social design studio.
George Scheer (Co-founder / Board Director) is Co-founder and former Executive Director of Elsewhere. George is a writer, scholar, and artist who fosters creative communities at the intersection of aesthetics and social change. George is also the grandson of Elsewhere proprietress and puzzle maker Sylvia Gray, whose stuff he has been moving around for years! George holds an MA in Critical Theory and Visual Culture from Duke University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Political Communications.
