Hand See Space Between | Moi Tran

Hand See Space Between is a suite of colorful, textile batons constructed from tubes used to store Elsewhere’s fabric rolls. They function as open ended materials for play that encourage users to to explore various compositional effects and to create ephemeral constructions that engage the tradition of hard edge abstract paintings. Installed in Elsewhere’s third floor wood library, the work visually reinforces the vertical architectures of that space. This installation also poetically links the open ended play associated with Moi Tran’s materials to the potential for transforming the materials found in this library.
