For those who seek unseen skies (one orbital body away from infinity) by Sair Goetz / Goetz reimagined Safe Place (Leslie Kelman, 2011) as an indoor star-gazing room, and fabricated a new roof for the fortress installation. Inside, visitors look up through a honeycomb of illuminated silver wormholes made from lamee thigh-highs seeded with a network of programmed LEDs. Their futurist vision was informed by space imagery in the collection and supported by creative engineering from local volunteer, Jared Brown.
