Fact, Simile | Alison Wilder

Wilder sourced materials and settings from Elsewhere to continue work on a music video project. FACT, SIMILE deals with the relation between gender, sexuality and language via visuals and lyrics, human and non-human object fixations, and semi-fictitious accounts of the artists dreams. Wilder adopted the idea of collecting as a stream-of-consciousness practice while working on the video in Elsewhere, and drew on the museum’s concepts of fantasy and narrative.
