Din Din | Laura Bigger

Din Din is a new soundscape for the kitchen to draw attention to the room as an art installation. Activated by a hidden motion sensor, it plays sounds commonly found in Elsewhere’s kitchen such as filling a glass of ice water, people whistling while they work, popping popcorn and dishes being washed. The piece activates the kitchen for museum visitors, regardless of whether it is in use. The kitchen itself is an installation called Kitchen Commons designed by J Morgan Puett and Ian Montgomery

This is a composite of photographic documentation of 4 artists' meals over the course of four different days spent as artists in residence. The photographs exist individually and are intended to be projected onto a place setting on a table.
