Elsewhere seeks artist working in auto-correct art practices.

Elsewhere is announcing fellowship funding for artists exploring auto-correct as medium. Auto-correct art serves as a gateway into automated thinking, mechanic intelligence, and the rhetoric of semantic web technologies. Artists working across media to discover the ghost in the machine are welcome to apply.

Elsewhere residencies are immersive, site specific experiences. While auto-correct art is traditionally site-less by nature and mobile in practice, Elsewhere offers a unique social and material environment from which to explore the flatten depths of your screens.

Applicants should submit an artist statement and up to 6 screenshots, automated file options, gdocs, spreadsheets, or cellphones (please include a self addressed and stamped envelope if you want your cell phone returned) to news@goelsewhere.org.
