Dienke Groenhout is an artist based in the Netherlands but works globally from her mobile space. She designs costumes to disconnect the wearer entirely from the context automatically connected to their bodies. We will discuss being a stranger somewhere and the possible benefits of being dislocated, and we will for this moment, connect Greensboro's Elsewhere’s Living Museum to JMU students from Virginia via Amsterdam.
