Guest artist Harold Speaks is parking his “Mobile Egypt” van environment in front of the museum for our First Friday Happening. Harold’s fascination with Egypt led him to create a cargo van bedecked in shimmering gold fabric and iridescent, multi-colored objects. A fixture of Center City Park here in Greensboro, Harold’s van is just one part of his “Operation Smile” that he will bring to the museum; live acoustic and electronic percussion and mini games (basketball, bean-bag toss, golf) are other ways he will engage guests.

We will bring other museum exhibits out front for your interactive pleasure, and the stage will be open for swinging! We’ll have info about our programming through the summer and how you can become a member of the museum.

The event will also have a Zoom component for anyone who would like to join virtually!
